About Tammy

Born and raised in Manitouwadge, Northern Ontario, she has a deep and lifelong connection to the North. After many years living and studying in Southern Ontario—including time studying abroad in France—she returned nearly a decade ago, grateful to be back where she feels most at home.Upon returning north, she lived off-grid on a wilderness homestead near Echo Bay, where her family built their home from the ground up and grew all of their own food. It was a lifestyle in which she truly thrived.She is a Montessori teacher by training and passion, having owned and operated her own school, and was also a dedicated homeschool parent for two decades. During that time, she partnered in church ministry, serving the community through teaching and music.After her homeschooling years, she returned to the workforce in the city. Her passion for education led her back into school environments, while her bilingualism opened opportunities with the federal government, including a role at Service Canada, where helping people was especially meaningful.Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors and immersed in nature. More recently, she discovered motorcycle racing and quickly became passionate about the sport, which she and her husband enjoy whenever possible.Her longstanding commitment to serving others has now led her into real estate.
